We’re back with our “Roundtable discussion and Sewing Workshop” series, this time at a new venue, the Dajer Club. Address: Budapest VIII. dist, Horváth Mihály tér 5.

The evening will start as usual: we’ll get together and use pre-made pieces, recycled denim, and colorful African fabrics to handcraft little trinkets. We’re also open to your unique ideas!

The discussion begins at 7:00 p.m. The panelists are:
Aliz Miklusicsák, founder of Dajer, organizer, performer, and much more
Andrea Kovarszki, founder of Dajer, grant writer, manager, and behind-the-scenes contributor
Barna Era, founder of the Almodóvar Running Club, creator and founder of Dajer, and civil society expert
Andrea Morris, president and founder of the Close to Africa Foundation, and Africa traveler
Gabriella Móra, staff member and organizer at the Close to Africa Foundation, a jack-of-all-trades

Our topics revolve around women’s clubs and women’s communities. In other words, how to get started, how to bring them to life, and how to run them. Experiences, pitfalls, and quirks here at home and in Africa. How we women can help one another, how we can work together, and why it’s good to belong to such a community. What’s missing? What do we need?

If you are participating in the sewing workshop, we ask that you contribute 1,500 HUF on-site to help cover the cost of materials.
