At the beginning of January 2024, we signed a support agreement with Richter Gedeon Plc, under which the pharmaceutical giant will significantly contribute to the construction of the House of Hope and to the future operating costs as well. We are incredibly grateful to all of our supporters who have backed this cause so far, and to Richter Gedeon Plc for taking the lead among them. The construction is expected to be completed by September! Then, we can start furnishing the facility and planning and organizing the educational activities, for which we greatly need the strength and support of the foundation's team!
The House of Hope will provide African women with opportunities for a fresh start, allowing them to pursue an independent, more free life through retraining and education. It will serve as a women’s center and also act as a knowledge and support hub for local communities...
We believe that empowering women is the key to Africa's upliftment. In communities where the value of an African woman is no longer solely determined by the number of children she bears, change begins to take root. Our on-site experiences confirm that educated mothers tend to have fewer children, and their children receive more parental attention, leading to healthier, better-educated lives. We believe this is also a path out of extreme poverty.
At the House of Hope, we organize educational programs including literacy, sewing, soap-making, and computer skills training.
The goal is to enable victims of violence to start a new, independent life.
Thank you for contributing, in any amount, to the further development and furnishing of the House of Hope, to the organization of educational programs, and to the empowerment of the girls and women of Bamako!
