How is a childhood in Africa?
Is it a good idea to travel with family to Africa?
Sena Dagadu (Irie Maffia) and Morris Andrea (Close to Africa Foundation) discuss what Africa means to a child and what it is like to be a child in Africa. They talk about Sena's Ghanaian roots and Andi's dream of raising her children in Africa.
How is being a child there different from what we know? Is it different even within Africa? What is it like to grow up as a girl there / to raise girls there?
Before the discussion, we invite everyone to join us for some family crafts. We will be making simple Christmas gifts using a pinch of African fabric. Both children and adults are welcome to participate.
