\"I currently live with my mother and two sisters because my father left us about four years ago. He left due to family conflicts and has not returned home to this day. Since then, our lives have been very difficult and challenging. We face daily problems, especially in meeting basic needs such as food, clothing, and tuition fees.
My mother is the one who tries to support the family. She doesn't have a stable job or a monthly salary, so she earns money doing odd jobs. Sometimes she goes to wash clothes for others, sometimes she helps grow crops, and sometimes she does small household chores for families living in the village. She earns a little money from these small jobs, which she spends on cheap food for us to eat in the evenings. However, the money she receives is very little.
Often, there is not enough for all of us. There are days when we manage to eat once a day, and other days when we go to bed without eating. Although our life is not easy, we try to live with hope and love. My sisters and I always support our mother.
We help her with small things at home, such as cleaning, cooking, or fetching water. My sister Josiane helps take care of our little sister, Deborah, when our mother is at work. We love each other very much and always encourage each other to stay strong and never give up. When it comes to education, our mother does everything she can to make sure we can continue going to school. She believes that education is the key to a better future. But sometimes this is difficult because of the cost of tuition, uniforms, and school supplies such as books and pens. Before the Close to Africa Foundation took us under its wing, I sometimes missed classes because we couldn't pay the tuition fees. It always makes me sad to see our mother struggling to find money for our education, but I am grateful for her sacrifice.
She always says, \"Even if I have nothing else, I will make sure you go to school.\" These words give me the strength to work even harder. I have just graduated from high school, where I took computer science, mathematics, and economics as electives, and achieved a score of 82.13% on my final exams. I love learning new things, especially math and economics, so I want to continue studying them at university because my dream is to become a math and economics teacher in the future. I would like to use my knowledge to help my family and my community. I believe that if I work hard and focus, one day I will be able to change my family's life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
