We know nothing about her father. Her mother works on their land to support her children. Their home has no electricity, so Filette studies by flashlight after dark, which she can\u2019t always recharge. She lives 8 km from school. She does a lot of chores at home: she fetches water, does laundry, cooks, sweeps, and weeds. Her favorite foods are cabbage and rice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br>In her free time, she enjoys playing soccer and singing, especially hymns at church. Her favorite subjects are chemistry and biology; she wants to become a doctor, and she has a personal reason for this. She suffers from kidney problems, which sometimes make it difficult for her to study because of the pain.
