We deeply believe that if we provide talented, driven young people with access to quality education, they will not only rise out of desperate poverty but also positively impact their communities as adults.
This is how we make an impact in Africa. Alongside our three university students—Claude, Emmanuel, and Hussein—we also want to give a few new, exceptionally diligent students the hope of rising through the opportunity of education. Let us not forget: “The beautiful thing about learning is that no one can take it away from you.” – B.B. King. For them, the opportunity to learn opens up the hope of a new life.
Our child support program is a great opportunity to discover and get to know these agile, motivated young people, as it allows us to have an overview of an entire community. Thanks to our supporters, we are able to engage with the students growing up and studying there.
With your help, the fortunate, selected young people can attend university and learn a trade. These young people will become the scholarship recipients of the Close to Africa Foundation. This is a private scholarship that you, our supporters, contribute to.
